Abdul has over 20 years’ experience in Chambers.
As Practice Director, he is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships, practice development and overseeing the day-to-day clerking of the Immigration & Public Law Groups.
Abdul joined No5 in 1999 and clerked the Criminal and Personal Injury Groups. In 2003, he was appointed Senior Practice Manager for the Employment Law Group and worked on its expansion into London and Bristol.
In 2013, Abdul was tasked to focus on the Immigration & Public Law Groups. Both groups have been involved in many ground breaking cases during this period. In 2018, he travelled with counsel to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg which was to be No5’s last case in this jurisdiction prior to Brexit.
Outside of work, Abdul is an avid cricketer and still manages to put on his whites on a Saturday afternoon in the Warwickshire Cricket League during the summer.
