Steven accepts instructions in relation to Road Traffic Accidents, employers Liability and Public Liability Claims. Steven has experience of dealing with high value personal injury claims involving significant loss of earnings claims. In addition, he specialises in, and particularly enjoys, road traffic accident cases involving “Low Velocity Impact” allegations.
He is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis where appropriate.

Steven regularly advises Solicitors on all aspects of costs litigation including funding, recoverability of additional liabilities, retainers, costs budgeting, security for costs and Solicitor and Client assessments.
Steven regularly appears in the SCCO in addition to the County and High Court on detailed assessments and costs appeals. Steven I well versed in dealing with complex costs points and high value detailed assessments.

Since 2002 (when he joined private practice) Steven has represented many of the countries leading insurers in relation to matters of policy and litigation procedure and practice. In addition, he acts for many of the countries leading Credit Hire Organisations and Insurers.
Since successfully transferring to the bar, Steven specialises in credit hire litigation for both Defendant’s and Claimant’s. He deals with cases of the utmost complexity including enforceability of agreements, misrepresentation, fraud, technical BHR arguments and high value prestige vehicle claims. Steven has a particular specialism in defending high value taxi credit hire claims.
Steven is retained Counsel for a large PLC credit hire organisation and advises at board level on matters of policy, procedure and litigation strategy. Steven regularly appears Nationwide before the County and High Court, undertaking Fast and Multi track trials and appeals on behalf of both Defendant’s and Claimant’s.
He is often instructed at an early stage of proceedings by insurers when fraud or/or misrepresentation is alleged, and has a particular specialism in defending fraudulent credit hire claims.
Steven is a regular speaker at the CLT credit hire conference and has also undertaken training seminars for firms of Solicitors. as well as insurers.
