Sam Leach

Call: 2023

Sam accepted tenancy in October 2024 after completing a specialist Crime Pupillage under the supervision of Tom Schofield. He is instructed to prosecute and defend in a range of criminal matters across Crown Courts in the Midlands. He has undertaken trials both alone and as a led junior.

Before starting pupillage, Sam lived in Accra as a rugby league coach where he worked to set up the sport in Ghana. He was subsequently employed as a clerk & legal researcher at a barristers’ chambers in London helping members with case preparation.

Expertise

Crime

Sam has completed a range of short work and trials in the Youth, Magistrates and Crown Courts. These have included sexual offences, drugs, violent crime and driving offences.

He has conducted trials alone and as a led junior as well as being instructed as a disclosure junior.
