Sam accepted tenancy in October 2024 after completing a specialist Crime Pupillage under the supervision of Tom Schofield KC. He is instructed to prosecute and defend across Crown Courts in the Midlands. He has undertaken trials both alone and as a led junior involving serious offences such as sexual assault, Class A drug supply and armed robbery. As well as being a CPS Level 2 General Crime Prosecutor, Sam has been instructed as disclosure junior.
Sam also accepts instructions in the areas of regulatory and environmental law, including recent cases for the Nursing & Midwifery Council. He is keen to expand his work in these areas.
Before starting pupillage, Sam lived in Accra as a rugby league coach where he worked to set up the sport in Ghana. He was subsequently employed as a clerk & legal researcher at a barristers’ chambers in London helping members with case preparation.
