Reiss joins No5 after completing his civil pupillage at a London-based chambers, specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence. During this time, he gained experience by shadowing members of chambers in high-value multitrack personal injury and clinical negligence trials, hearings, conferences, and drafting work.
Independently, Reiss regularly appeared in court, handling small claims, credit hire, road traffic accident disputes, infant approval hearings, and interlocutory applications. He now joins No5’s PI & Clin Neg group and accepts instructions from both Claimants and Defendants.
After completing the Bar Professional Training Course, Reiss worked as a County Court advocate and paralegal, managing a wide range of civil cases, including small claims credit hire, road traffic accidents, and contractual disputes.
Reiss has also volunteered for Advocate, participating in the 25 for 25 challenge by providing over 25 hours of pro bono work. Additionally, he has supported the Free Representation Unit, assisting individuals through the appeals process for benefit decisions.
Reiss is regularly instructed in credit hire matters, representing both Claimants and Defendants. He has experience addressing all aspects of credit hire disputes, including need, enforceability, impecuniosity, period, rate, intervention, agency, and loss of profits. His meticulous approach ensures thorough analysis and effective advocacy in every case.
Reiss welcomes instructions from both Claimants and Defendants in all areas of credit hire litigation including those involving overlapping personal injury elements.
