Maria qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 becoming Partner and Director of her firm. Having carried out her own advocacy throughout her legal career in all levels of the lower and higher courts, Maria decided this was the element of the job she enjoyed most and has therefore cross qualified and was called to The Bar in 2024 . As an accredited children panel member Maria has built a reputation with clients , professionals, and the Judiciary as a thorough and forensic Advocate in both public law care proceedings and private law children matters .
Maria has acted for children and parents in complex non accidental injury and sexual abuse cases, she has a broad range of experience in FGM, forced marriage, honour based violence .
Maria has much knowledge and training in working with vulnerable people , including being a Qualified Court Representative , instructed by the court in cases of domestic abuse and children applications
