Lloyd began pupillage with No5 in October 2024, under the guidance of his supervisor, Louise Higgins. He is undertaking a specialist family law pupillage and will be welcoming instructions in all areas of family law as of 7th April 2025.
Before pursuing a career at the Bar, Lloyd completed an undergraduate degree in History at Utrecht University in the Netherlands; studying part of this degree even further afield at Monash University in Australia. He then moved back to the Midlands to undertake an MSc in Conflict and International Development at the University of Birmingham. He has stayed in the region ever since, completing both his GDL and his BPTC at the Birmingham Campus of the University of Law. He was fortunate enough to be aided in his legal education with a combination of award scholarships from ULaw and Inner Temple.
Up until joining the Bar, Lloyd was a keen athlete, competing at a national and international level as a sprint hurdler. Since then, he has appreciated a more casual approach to sport, enjoying a 5km run or game of squash away from work!
