Harpreet defended a business man charged with rape and associated sexual offences. The defendant was acquitted on all counts.

Harpreet was instructed by the CPS’ Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division to prosecute two brothers who were convicted of preparing for acts of terrorism. Harpreet is instructed to prosecute four defendants who are alleged to have entered an international money-laundering operation valued at £30 million. He leads Simon Hunka.
R v Ramzan and others (Shrewsbury Crown Court) [2023]

Harpreet prosecuted a driver who pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of one pedestrian and causing serious injury to another pedestrian by dangerous driving.
R v Przybyla (Stafford Crown Court) [2023]
Harpreet prosecuted a man who was convicted of murdering his housemate through the infliction of fatal head injuries. Several experts were called to deal with causation. Harpreet led Sharon Bahia.
R v X (Wolverhampton Crown Court) [2023]
Harpreet prosecuted a 17-year old defendant who was convicted of manslaughter. He had inflicted a fatal stab wound to his 15-year old victim. Harpreet led Cathlyn Orchard.

Harpreet prosecuted a man who was convicted of murdering his partner through sustained violence before abandoning her body in a ditch. Several experts were called. Harpreet led Sharon Bahia.
R v Donald and others (Warwick Crown Court) [2023]
Harpreet prosecuted five men accused of killing one man and causing serious injuries to three others. After a trial lasting several weeks, one defendant was convicted of murder and three were convicted of manslaughter. They were convicted of associated offences of violence. R v M (Nottingham Crown Court) [2024]
Harpreet was instructed by the Complex Casework Unit to prosecute a man who stabbed his father repeatedly and killed him. The defendant was indicted with murder but, based on psychiatric evidence, the prosecution invited the jury to convict him of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility. The defendant’s case was one of lawful self-defence. He was convicted. Harpreet led Sarah Knight [The 36 Group].
R v Mohammed (Birmingham Crown Court) [2024]
Harpreet was instructed by the Complex Casework Unit to prosecute a man who killed his three-week old son and assaulted his mother and his wife. The defendant suggested that he was not guilty by reason of insanity. He called three consultant forensic psychiatrists in support of his defence. His defence was tested and rejected by the jury. Following a trial which lasted almost five weeks, the defendant was convicted of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility (as the prosecution suggested he should be) and of two counts of unlawful wounding.
