Expertise

Clinical Negligence

Francesca has particular expertise in delayed, missed or wrongful diagnosis of perineal tears, having just secured compensation in such a case for £800,000.

She holds particular interest and expertise in delayed diagnosis of cancer claims and claims arising out of missed or wrongful diagnosis in A&E. For example, failure to detect aortic dissection, failure to diagnose appendicitis, cauda equina.

Brain Injury & Cerebral Palsy

Francesca believes that the role of the legal team, barrister and solicitor, in a brain injury case is critical. She has expertise to advise on the best way to ensure timely rehabilitation for individuals affected by these life-changing injuries. She understands that the importance of support and sensitivity for both injured parties and their families. Francesca is used to working with medical, care and therapeutic experts to build a maintenance regime so that those with acquired brain injuries can live as comfortably and independently as their injury allows.

She regularly represents individuals who have suffered hypoxic brain injuries at birth; and those who have acquired brain injuries through road traffic accidents, falls from height; or due to delayed diagnosis in subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Cancer

Francesca is very experienced in cases of delayed diagnosis of cancer where breach of duty lies with General Practitioners and radiologists. She has successfully concluded cases concerning skin cancer, lung cancer, cervical cancer, and breast cancer, to name but a few.

She is used to working closely with oncologists to identify the right level of compensation based on the most up-to-the-minute data sets for survival based on the site of the cancer and its staging.

Personal Injury

Francesca is experienced in multi track litigation arising from serious road traffic accidents and accidents that occur in the course of an individuals work.
