Emma Hogan

Emma Hogan practises in all aspects of personal injury, including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, occupiers’ liability, tripping and slipping claims and public liability claims. She has experience in fraudulent claims (on both sides) including those involving staged accidents, bogus passenger claims, low-velocity impact arguments and Fundamental Dishonesty.

Emma works for both Claimants and Defendants and is happy to accept instructions for telephone hearings and to conduct conferences and trials remotely as required.

Emma read History at The Queen’s College, Oxford before being called to the Bar in 1996 by Middle Temple by whom she was twice awarded an Astbury Scholarship.

She was appointed as a member of the Attorney General’s panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown [2000- 2007] dealing with personal injury, Coroners’ inquests and employment law. Emma represented a wide range of government departments in often complex and sensitive cases.

Emma is experienced in the employment sector to which she is returning after a break.  She read History at The Queen’s College, Oxford before being called to the Bar in 1996 by Middle Temple by whom she was twice awarded an Astbury Scholarship.

Emma has previously undertaken work for a wide range of Claimants and Respondents both companies and individuals.  She has expertise at handling cases of varying complexity and sensitivity having previously been a member of the Attorney General’s panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown for a number of years.  Emma’s perspective on cases is enhanced by her complementary practice in the field of personal injury
