Elliott has written articles in the field of personal injury and is closely involved with associated brain injury charities, having sat in positions of office for multiple Headway committees.
Elliott has extensive experience in personal injury litigation and accepts instructions for both Claimants and Defendants. The breadth of his experiences spans employer’s liability, public liability, occupier’s liability and road traffic accidents and he is experienced in dealing with complex liability disputes requiring a forensic analysis of extensive disclosure.
Elliott has experience working on cases where liability is dealt with as a preliminary issue, requiring work with non-medical experts, including engineering experts, electrical experts and accident reconstruction experts.
Elliott has specific experience in high-value, complex, quantum disputes, including catastrophic brain and spinal cord injury. Elliott has experience with mild traumatic brain injury cases as well as functional neurological disorder injuries. He has further experience with chronic regional pain syndrome cases and is comfortable working alongside a multi-disciplinary team-led rehabilitation package.
Elliott is experienced in high-value drafting and accepts instructions to prepare detailed sets of pleadings in catastrophic injury litigation.
Elliott accepts instructions at all levels of personal injury and has a busy Court and papers practice in the Fast and Multi-tracks.
Elliott has specific experience working in catastrophic injury, in particular brain injury litigation. Elliott has extensive knowledge of brain injury and is experienced in working with Claimants suffering from a range of cognitive deficits, executive functioning difficulties and behavioural challenges.
Elliott has worked closely with busy rehabilitation packages and appreciates the need for a rehab-driven approach to litigation.
Elliott has further experience in poly-trauma orthopaedic cases, requiring a forensic examination of medical evidence to identify how best to extrapolate a Claimant’s needs from a complex medical picture.
Elliott is experienced in credit hire litigation, frequently acting for both Claimants and Defendants. Elliott stays abreast with this fast-developing area of law, ensuring that the most up-to-date decisions are appropriately applied.
Elliott has a busy practice in credit hire and accepts instructions for both small-claim and fast-track trials, together with interlocutory and costs-only hearings.
