
Chatura has a wide-ranging practice in planning and environmental law, having completed her specialist pupillage in this area in October 2025. She has experience of working with local authorities and private clients representing and/or advising on various planning issues. Full details of her experience can be found below.
Before beginning her career at the Bar, Chatura worked as a paralegal at Town Legal, where she helped advise clients on various areas of planning including, material change of use, permitted development rights, lawful implementation of planning permissions, judicial review and s.288 review procedures, and enforcement. She also has experience of reviewing s.106 agreements, both unilateral and bilateral, and reviewing technical proofs.
Chatura has a degree in Chemical Engineering (MEng) Hons, following which she chose to undertake a law conversion having enjoyed studying negligence and environmental law as part of her engineering degree. She completed her GDL and BVS at City, University of London with a scholarship from the Inner Temple for her BVS.
