Arrin Nouri is a specialist Family Law barrister, with particular expertise in disputes concerning children.
She is recognised as a ‘Leading Junior’ in the Legal 500 directory (2023 and 2024).
Arrin is known for her comprehensive and strategic approach. She will thoroughly explain matters to each client, providing clear and practical advice having regard to the circumstances of each case. In the courtroom she is an effective advocate who will work tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for those she represents.
Arrin has appeared at all levels up to and including the High Court. She has been led by, and appeared against, King’s Counsel.
Arrin has, in recent years, developed a dedicated practice in Private Law children matters and is especially well regarded in this field. She provided specialist advice to delegates at the No5 Private Law Children Seminar in 2024.
Arrin is an experienced and highly regarded Private Law children barrister, dealing with proceedings at all levels from the Magistrates Court to the High Court.
She handles a variety of cases including applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Enforcement Orders.
Arrin is frequently instructed in highly contentious disputes involving allegations of domestic abuse, harm to children, alienating behaviours, substance misuse and mental health difficulties. She is well equipped to handle cases which involve Rule 16.4 Guardian appointments and detailed expert evidence. Owing to Arrin’s background and experience in Public Law children cases, she is also accustomed to dealing with cases where the local authority are involved with the family.
Arrin provides advice, assistance and representation to parents, extended family members and other interested parties. She prides herself on excellent client care and is very good in establishing a strong rapport with those she represents.

Whilst Arrin’s practice now primarily focuses upon Private Law children cases, she has many years of experience in dealing with Public Law children work including Care, Supervision, Placement and Special Guardianship applications.

In 2018 Arrin appeared in the High Court as Junior Counsel for the mother (led by Stefano Nuvoloni KC of No5 Chambers) in the reported case of A Local Authority v A Mother & Ors (Fact-Finding) [2018] EWHC 2054 (Fam).
Arrin has experience of working with vulnerable clients, including parties with cognitive functioning difficulties requiring the assistance of the Official Solicitor. She is adept at compassionately and diligently handling such circumstances to achieve the highest level of client care.
Arrin provides advice, assistance and representation for all aspects of injunction proceedings, including applications for Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders under the Family Law Act 1996. She acts for both applicants and respondents at all stages of proceedings from first hearings to contested final hearings.
