Alexander practices in Personal Injury and Employment law. This gives Alexander particular insight and strength when dealing with issues that overlap between the two areas.
Within his Personal Injury practice Alexander accepts instructions that fall within the Intermediate or Multi tracks, acting for both claimants and defendants.
In Employment Alexander accepts instructions not only within the traditional sphere of the Employment Tribunal, but also matters that are litigated within the civil courts, such as injunctions, and investigatory work.

Alexander is instructed in cases of Multi Track and Intermediate Track value arising from road traffic, public and workplace accidents. Many of Alexander’s cases involve dealing with brain injuries, both in cases acting as a junior but also when acting in cases as sole counsel.
Alexander’s dual practice ensures he has particular strength when dealing with employment related issues. This is especially notable for dealing with issues surrounding disability status, vital to considering loss of earnings for Ogden purposes.
Alexander is ranked in the Legal 500 for Personal Injury work in the Midlands Region.

Alexander is increasingly instructed in cases of significant value. These involve the usual array of catastrophic injuries, including brain injuries, amputations, orthopaedic injuries, psychological injuries and fatalities.

drafting counter schedule of loss and specific disclosure application in occupiers’ claim to reply to excessive care claim. Claim discontinued soon after.

acting for 2 claimants, occupancy concerns at trial defeated.

advising nurse injured in road traffic accident, claim settled for £120,000 net of interim payments and CRU
C v G Tyres Ltd
£150,000 settlement net of interim and CRU achieved at joint settlement meeting. Included consideration of whether the Claimant was ‘disabled’ for the purposes of Ogden calculations and future loss of earnings.

Alexander acts for both claimants and respondents within the Employment Tribunal. He also accepts instructions for employment related issues in the civil courts, including injunction work.
The cross-over between Alexander’s practice areas means he is entirely familiar with all issues arising from the Civil Procedure Rules. A particular strength is dealing with employment related claims inappropriately brought within the County Court.
Alexander also accepts instructions to conduct investigation work. This is of particular use where the appointment of an external third party is desirable to ensure transparency and maintain faith in an investigatory, grievance or disciplinary process.
