I am building a commercial practice as part of Chambers’ Business and Property Team.
I graduated from King’s College London top of my class and was fortunate to win a number of academic awards. I then read for the BCL at Oriel College Oxford and undertook the Bar Course at City Law School as Cassel Scholar of Lincoln’s Inn, graduating with a distinction.
Before coming to the Bar, I was Visiting Lecturer at King’s College London where I taught Contract Law and Consumer law, and Guest Tutor at the LSE, where I taught the Law of Obligations.
Before No5, I worked at CANDEY, a boutique firm based in Lincoln’s Inn, specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration. There, I gained experience working on disputes in a wide range of practice areas, with a strong focus on commercial-chancery litigation, but also spanning construction, arbitration, employment, judicial review, and matrimonial finance. I then went to Devereux Chambers where I undertook an intensive third six focusing on employment, tax, personal injury, and commercial insurance. In both experiences I was fortunate enough to work on a number of reported authorities.
I speak Arabic fluently and am keen on building an international practice.
Outside of law, I enjoy going to the theatre (I used to be a semi-professional theatre actor), reading (fiction, history and politics), collecting vintage watches, ties and jeans, swimming (badly but enthusiastically), hanging out with friends, and following the trials and tribulations of Manchester United.
