Earlier this week, No5 Barristers’ Chambers were proud to sponsor the Royal Town Planning Institute’s 2026 Minerals Conference, which took place in central London.

The day provided an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues across the sector and catch up with familiar faces throughout the day.

Presentations were made by the RTPI, MHCLG, PINS, Norfolk County Council and Hampshire County Council, BGS, RSK Group/Stephenson Halliday, No5 Barristers’ Chambers , Stone Federation GB, Cotswold Archaeology and MPA.

James Corbet Burcher and Sioned Davies provided an insightful legal update during the afternoon session. This covered recent major appeals and highlighted key areas of future areas of litigation, offering valuable perspective on where the legal landscape is heading.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Heidi Smith, Melissa Watson and the team for organising another seamless and highly valuable event.
