No5 Barristers’ Chambers is delighted to congratulate our CEO and Director of Clerking, Tony McDaid, on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the The Institute of Barristers’ Clerks Awards on Friday 8th May.
The award is a fitting recognition of Tony’s exceptional contribution to the profession over many years. His leadership, professionalism, integrity and commitment to excellence have earned the respect and admiration of colleagues across the Bar and clerking community alike.
Tony has not only helped shape the standards of modern barristers’ clerking, but has also been a generous mentor and trusted figure to so many within the profession. His dedication and contribution to the profession have had a significant and lasting impact. Tony’s career has been marked by a number of remarkable achievements, including becoming the first (and only to date) non-lawyer to serve as President of the Birmingham Law Society.
Heads of Chambers, Michelle Heeley KC and Peter Goatley KC, said, “We are delighted that the IBC has recognised Tony McDaid’s immense talents. He has been with No5 for his entire career and his leadership and vision are what has driven No 5. He is the beating heart of our Chambers, and we could not be prouder of his achievements.”
