Cathlyn Orchard, led by Jennifer Josephs KC from St Philips, successfully prosecuted 3 brothers for the murder of 22-year-old Mohammed Khan. A fourth man was convicted of his manslaughter.

The victim was brutally attacked, stabbed, kicked, and punched, on the streets of Walsall, in broad daylight in front of horrified members of the public. Each defendant argued that they did not participate in the killing, and that their actions were in lawful self-defence and defence of another.

Following a trial, which concluded on Wednesday 4th February 2026, 23-year-old Zain Raja, and his brothers 34 year old Asad Iftakhar and Hassan Iftakhar were convicted of murder; and their 22-year-old cousin Amaan Khan was convicted of manslaughter.
