As we finalise the programme for our Annual Seminar, we are delighted to announce two guest speakers:
Joanna Averley, the Government’s Chief Planner and Head of Planning Profession based at MHCLG, will deliver a Keynote Address that updates us on the issues of the day. Joanna advises ministers on policy and practice relating to town and country planning and high profile and complex planning cases. She is also responsible for urban design and placemaking policy, and for the government’s Planning Capacity and Capability Programme, which aims to equip local planning authorities to deliver planning reform and unlock housing delivery.
Catriona Riddell, Vice Chair of the Town and Country Planning Association, who is a specialist in strategic planning and works with local authorities across England, and who is the Planning Officers Society’s Strategic Planning Specialist, will deliver the keynote speech in our afternoon session on spatial planning.
