Philip Rule KC represents the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute and Commonwealth Law Association.

The High Court of Justice sitting in St Kitts & Nevis has granted permission for Philip Rule KC to act as amicus curiae to the Court on behalf of these two organisations. The Court has convened a hearing that shall take place over several days in November 2025 to determine the legal question whether the death penalty is unconstitutional and unavailable in the Federation of St Christopher and Nevis.

Philip has previously been called to the Bars of the Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, either for full or special admission. He also successfully represented a Bahamian client before the Privy Council in the case Bastian v The King [2024] UKPC 14.
