No5’s Chris McWatters, Nisha Bambhra and Femi Ogunlende will consider the legal principles in costs applications in private law proceedings. They will discuss how those principles should be applied following a court making serious findings against one of the parties. They will also examine the practicalities of making a costs application when to make to make a costs application, how to oppose an application for costs and how to appeal against costs orders.
