Michelle Heeley KC took Silk in 2017 to become, at the time, the youngest criminal Silk in the country. She was appointed Leader of the Midland Circuit in 2021, the youngest Leader in history. Michelle is regularly instructed by the Complex Casework Unit and prosecuting division for the Serious Organised Crime Agency to prosecute large scale, multi handed cases involving complex legal issues. Michelle undertakes private defence work and is noted for her particular expertise in rape cases and in dealing with vulnerable witnesses.
Nicholas Cobill is an experienced advocate and adviser in a broad range of complex and high value commercial disputes. He appears regularly in multi-track proceedings in the High Court and County Court. As first choice counsel to several law firms, he is instructed regularly in complex or high value applications, frequently to obtain injunction orders or to resist injunction applications.
Faye Edwards has a busy and well-developed children law practice, in both public and private law. She is frequently instructed on multi-day final hearings, fact-finding hearings, as well as case management and direction hearings. Faye has exceptional interpersonal skills and experience representing parents with severe mental health, drug and alcohol difficulties, matters where domestic violence is featured and parents with cognitive functioning difficulties. Faye also regularly represents local authorities in public law proceedings, from initial removal hearings through to final hearings.
Sioned Davies has gained a broad range of experience across planning and environmental law in both England and Wales. Sioned advises a wide range of clients including residential, commercial, energy, minerals and logistics developers, public bodies including the Welsh Ministers, and other interested parties. Sioned is recognised as a leading junior under 35 (ranking in 3rd in 2024) by Planning Magazine.
