The deceased man was Marc Glasscoe – he was 46 years of age at the time of his death. The evidence demonstrates that he was assaulted on the 14th June 2024 at an address in Lincoln, which was occupied by one of the defendants. The prosecution asserted that Glasscoe had been targeted by these three defendants because he, or his female associate, was perceived to have a drug debt with one of their number.
Mr Glasscoe received fatal injuries as a result of the attack upon him within the premises which included him being punched and thrown forcefully to the floor. Thereafter, the defendants arranged for him to be removed from the premises and abandoned outside nearby garages, where he was discovered by a member of the public. The emergency services were called and took Mr Glasscoe to Lincoln County Hospital, before he was transferred to the QMC, Nottingham. Tragically, Mr Glasscoe succumbed to his brain injuries, and died, on 16th June 2024.
The defendants had denied their involvement in the infliction of the fatal injuries prior to trial but each pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the second day. They were sentenced to a total of 21 years imprisonment
