Jack Feeny is appearing in the Supreme Court on 1-2 July 2024 in the long running litigation in PCS v Secretary of State for the Home Department and others.
The trade union PCS is bringing a claim for tens of millions of pounds against the Government following the removal of the check off system in 2014/15, whereby civil servants could ask for their union subscriptions to be deducted from their pay. The Government was successful in the Court of Appeal and the litigation has now reached the Supreme Court. This is the first time the Contracts (Rights Against Third Parties) Act 1999 has been considered at this level.
Jack is representing the Government and is led by Daniel Stilitz KC at 11kbw.
