No5’s Gurprit Mattu, Baldip Singh MCIArb CJ and Nisha Bambhra have been sworn in as Arbitration Judges at the newly formed Sikh Court, at The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
The Sikh Court is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) forum created by Sikh and non-Sikh lawyers and judges from across the world to resolve disputes within the Sikh community. Judges from England, Scotland and Wales took an oath to serve the Granth and the Panth.
Head of No5 Adrian Keeling KC, said, “We are delighted with the news that Gurprit, Baldip and Nisha have been appointed as Arbitration Judges to The Sikh Court. The formation of this new court is an important initiative to work alongside the Judicial system in working through disputes. All three barristers will be a great asset to the court, and I look forward to following their journey alongside that of The Sikh Court.”
