The President of the Family Division has announced that, following an Expressions of Interest exercise, HHJ Nassera Patel will be appointed as Designated Family Judge for Leicester with effect from 20 April 2022.
Nassera was called to the Bar in 1999 and during this period specialised in public law proceedings involving representation of local authorities, parents and children in care cases. In 2019, Nassera was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal in the HESC Chambers and in 2021 was appointed as a Circuit Judge on the Midland Circuit.
