No5 Barristers’ Chambers has again reaffirmed its position as a leading set of barristers in the annual Legal 500.
Legal 500 provides an independent guide to UK law firms, and its rankings are much anticipated within the industry.
No5 is praised in a new section titled ‘Chancery, probate and Tax’ where members have been recognised by clients for its ‘good strength in depth of counsel and very efficient and reliable clerking’. It is also noted for its Company & Insolvency team for having a strong presence in some of the region’s most complex cases.
The Clinical Negligence group is described as housing one of the largest and strongest collections of clinical negligence barristers in the Midlands. A client highlighted the group for its ‘very knowledgeable, approachable and client-focused’ members.
The Personal Injury group is also praised by clients as the ‘first choice for general personal injury matters’ in the region, with ‘great strength in depth’.
Members of No5’s Court of Protection team were recognised as highly experienced, with most of the team primarily receiving instructions on behalf of local authorities.
No5’s large Crime team is recommended by clients for the ‘provide excellent representation throughout the Midlands and beyond’.
The Employment group is recognised for its ‘excellent pool of barristers specialising in various fields’.
The Family group also came in for high praise. For some, No5 is seen as a ‘vast pool of experienced counsel’ receiving instructions in some of the most complex care cases and private law disputes.
The Planning and Environment group gained significant acclaim from clients too, referencing them as ‘one of the pre-eminent planning law sets outside of London’. Equally, the Property and Construction team won similar praise for its ‘strength and depth at all levels of call’.
The Immigration Group was recognised as ‘Forward-looking’ and ‘progressive’. No5 Barristers’ Chambers is ‘packed with specialists in immigration and public law’. Members of the set have a great deal of experience in international human rights and asylum law.
