As a result of Covid 19, our working arrangements have drastically changed. As serious & catastrophic injury practitioners grapple with updating guidance and the practicalities of running cases remotely, Mat Brunning and Lois Norris of No5 Barristers’ Chambers were joined by Daniel Herman, Partner and Head of Leeds office, Stewarts, to discuss and explore the main changes, and to look at how these may continue to shape the way we run our cases during, and after, lockdown.
By way of a socially distanced webinar, Mat, Lois and Dan discussed the benefits and disadvantages of working remotely, expert assessments, and the potential impact on case management and cost budgeting. In addition, they explored the effect of Covid 19 on care regimes and schedules and how the economic downturn may impact immediate settlements and the review of the discount rate in 2024.
