Dr Chelvan gives Keynote speech at Government Equalities Office’s historic LGBT Leaders Summit

No5 Barristers’ Chambers’ Dr Chelvan gave the keynote speech at today’s historic Government Equalities Office’s LGBT Leaders Summit.

Bringing together 50 LGBT charity and third sector leaders to look at how the LGBT charity sector can work together, Dr Chelvan’s keynote spoke about the way he as a Leader had harnessed his passion and knowledge for the law in order to empower LGBT+ refugees. Recounting his own personal journey and intersectional identities he highlighted how important it is to be visible in order to be a change-maker.

Dr Chelvan was appointed to the GEO’s LGBT Advisory twelve member panel in March 2019.
