No5 Barristers’ Chambers has been officially recognised for the mutual support its barristers and staff provide to ensure their continued wellbeing.

No5, which has offices in Birmingham, London, Bristol and Leicester, received a Certificate of Recognition from the Bar Council, which acknowledges best practice in promoting wellbeing across the profession.

The scheme, Wellbeing at the Bar, aims to tackle the stigma of mental health and encourage members of the profession to better understand wellbeing.

The Bar Council comments that: “No5 has a clear vision on wellbeing and a well thought out strategy and programme of activity and support. We particularly applaud chambers’ robust business case and recognition this is about long-term culture change, where success will not be achieved overnight. An excellent example of a chambers-based approach to wellbeing”.

Tony McDaid, CEO and Director of Clerking at No5 Barristers’ Chambers, said: “We take the wellbeing of our barristers and staff seriously.  We are delighted to be recognised for the support that we provide.”
