Michael Duck QC, of No5 Barristers’ Chambers, is involved in a murder trial over the death of a 20-year-old who was stabbed during a fight in Nottingham.

The Queen’s Counsel is representing one of five teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, who deny murder and having an article with a blade or point.

Esrom Ghide, from Bilborough was found stabbed in Hawksley Road, Hyson Green, in September 2018. He died of his injuries in hospital.

The jury at Nottingham Crown Court has heard that Esrom was surrounded and involved in a fight which started over a cigarette.

The trial continues.
