Law students at Wolverhampton University will have the chance to learn from an expert during a seminar next month (December) which is being led by a leading Birmingham barrister.
The West Midlands Employment Law Group is working with the city’s university in hosting an open seminar which will look at religious discrimination.
Barrister Nabila Mallik, of No5 Barristers’ Chambers, will provide an insight onto the topic as she has dealt with cases involving Jewish, Muslim and Hindu claimants. She has presented a seminar on religious dress at the Health and Wellbeing conference.
She said: “It will be an entertaining and thought-provoking workshop on how to handle cases of religious discrimination.”
The free seminar will be held on Wednesday, December 12, from 1.30 to 3.30pm at the University of Wolverhampton.
Nabila is public access accredited and is instructed directly by the legal departments of companies. She has gained extensive experience representing claimants and respondents at employment tribunals and has an interest in religious discrimination.
