On Monday 2nd July, James Dixon of No5 Barristers’ Chambers will be on a panel of experts who will be addressing the topic of Law and Theory at a Parole: Law, Policy and Practice, 2018 Conference in Cambridge.
James will be joined by Phillipa Kaufmann QC and Simon Creighton on a panel led by speaker Paul Daly (University of Cambridge) and chaired by Judge John Samuels QC (President, Prisoners’ Education Trust).
The conference is in response to the Ministry of Justice announcing a public consultation into the law, policy and procedure relating to parole which closes on 28 July, where the aim is to engage in discussions with leading figures in the field and to enrich responses to the consultation.
Throughout the day topics such as Parole Practice; Improving Independence, Transparency, Efficiency and Effectiveness? and Why ‘Fairness’ Matters! are being discussed.
James said: “It is great to be returning to Cambridge to speak at this very topical event and learn from some great speakers”.
