Appearing on behalf of a Commons Registration Authority before Mrs Justice Lang in the Administrative Court in Birmingham, Tim Jones successfully defeated an application on behalf of landowners that sought to establish that an application to register land as a town green had not been duly made under the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007. Lang J held that the challenge to the CRA’s decision was unarguable. The CRA will now proceed to determine whether the land is or is not a town green. The town green inspector who acted on behalf of the CRA and whose decision Lang J upheld was Ms Rowena Meager also of No5 Chambers.
