A man, from Walsall, has been jailed for 21 years for violent attacks on two ex-girlfriends in which Sarah Buckingham prosecuted.

Nathaniel Hamilton, 31, was found guilty of attempted murder, rape and assault. One of the victims, who was 18 at the time of the attack was left with a perforated eardrum and severe bruises on her neck.

Hamilton had been the subject of a BBC film Bad Boy about his attempt to “go straight”.

It was heard that the victim was dragged on the floor before being strangled until she lost consciousness.

As well as being jailed Hamilton was told he will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
