A motorist has been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and pleaded a judge not to send her to jail because she was so overweight.
Linda Ann Jenns, 49, mowed down Paul Stinton, 45, in her white Ford Kuga after jumping a red light.
But No5 barrister, Ian Bridge, pleaded with the Judge at Canterbury Crown Court not to jail Jenns – because she would not be able to cope with life behind bars.
Mr Bridge said, “She is a person for whom a prison sentence would be extraordinarily difficult and I don’t think I exaggerate when I say she might not get through it.”
The sentence has been adjourned for two weeks pending medical reports.
