David Mason QC and Anthony Potter, members of No5 Crime Group are defending in the Warren Free murder trial.

Warren Free, 42, Spalding, died from head injuries on August 29 last year.

Six youths; two 15-year-old girls, two 15-year-old boys, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have all denied murder.

Lincoln Crown Court heard that Mr Free confronted the youths in a nearby park following an argument outside his home.

The trial heard that he was knocked to the ground and subjected to a “vicious assault”, he returned home but later died from his injuries.

The trial continues.
