Simon Hunka has persuaded judges to reduce a prison sentence handed to a woman for allowing her property to be used for drug production and storage.
Natalie Kennell, 25, Longford, was sentenced to three years after being found guilty of possessing cocaine with intent to supply after a trial at Leamington Crown Court last year.
Representing Kennell, Simon Hunka argued that her sentence was too excessive as she was a ‘naïve character’ and a ‘pushover’, also noting that she had no previous convictions.
The appeal judges agreed that her original sentence was ‘too severe’, and cut the three years by nine months.
