Ecky Tiwana defends in football match fixing trial

Ecky Tiwana, member of No5 Chambers Crime Group, is defending in a football match fixing trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

Delroy Facey, 34, Huddersfield, a former West Bromwich Albion player, and Moses Swaibu, 25, London, a former Conference South player, have both denied conspiring together with others to commit bribery between 1^st November and 27^th November 2013.

They are accused of plotting to bribe other players to perform improperly, in order to make profit from rigged bets, acting as go-betweens for two men who have already been convicted of match fixing.

The prosecution opened the trial, which is expected to last two weeks, yesterday.
