Edward Clougher, 41, has pleaded guilty to wounding with intent after attacking his neighbor, Michael Rowland, with a machete.
The incident happened following a neighbours dispute over noisy dogs.
On August 30 last year, Mr Rowlands threatened to kill them if they didn’t sort the dogs out. He confronted Edward Clougher with a hammer and a Stanley knife. When he put them down, James Clougher, Edward Clougher’s son, handed his father the machete, who struck a blow towards his head. Mr Rowlands put his arm up to protect himself, and the machete landed on his forearm, going a significant way through it.
James Clougher, 18, Kings Norton admitted affray and has been sentenced to a youth rehabilitation order with 18 month supervision and 4 month curfew.
His sister, Demi Clougher, 18, Kings Norton, pleaded guilty to a public offence order, after being heard saying “You watch, we’ll get you killed”, and was handed a 3 month prison sentence, suspended for 24 months.
Edward Clougher’s case has been adjourned until 21 November so medical reports can be obtained.
