Tim Jones was counsel for Herefordshire Council in a wholly successful compulsory purchase order and side roads order inquiry that will enable the Council to build a road that opens up brownfield sites in the north of central Hereford to 800 new homes, a new transport hub and other redevelopment.

By a joint decision letter dated 23rd September 2014, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and the Secretary of State for Transport confirmed the CPO and SRO for the work on the Hereford City Centre Link Road. This will run between Edgar Street (the A49) and Commercial Road (the A465). Work is expected to begin in Spring 2015.

Tim was also counsel in a previous Herefordshire CPO inquiry that enabled flood alleviation works to be carried out to prevent flooding on the land that will now benefit from the new road.
