A fund raising event in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and Birmingham Citizen’s Advice Bureau will be held at Moseley Cricket Club this Friday, 5th September. Twelve teams will compete on a round robin basis, and the winning team will receive the Anthony Barker QC Memorial Shield 2014. The event follows on from last years successful tournament, which raised over £3,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Teams taking part at the event on Friday include last years winners Higgs and Sons, Wragge and Co, Irwin Mitchell, Lewis Nedas, HRS Family Law Solicitors, Taylor Wimpey, DAC Beachcroft, Smith Partnership, Phil Jones Associates and No5 Chambers.
We invite guests to come along to watch the matches and support colleagues who are taking part. A bar and refreshment facilities will be available throughout the day. A raffle will also take place throughout the day to raise funds for Marie Curie and Birmingham Citizen’s Advice Bureau, with prizes including Afternoon Tea at the Raddison Blu, clothing vouchers, Glee Club tickets, a leather briefcase, limited edition cricket bat, wine, champagne and restaurant vouchers.
