PC Ian Langford, a police officer who served in Ledbury, Worcestershire, has been jailed for 18 months for misconduct in public office in 2012 and 2013.
Gloucester Crown Court heard that Langford started relationships with two women after being called to incidents at their homes, and visited them during shifts.
Langford admitted the two charges of misconduct in public office. Judge Jamie Tabor QC said his actions brought the service into disrepute.
Simon Hunka, representing Langford, said “He is someone who has shown deep remorse and shame for his behaviour; he doesn’t try to excuse it.”
