Susan and Christopher Edwards have been found guilty of the murder of Patricia and William Wycherley, Susan Edwards parents, after shooting them and burying them in their back garden in Mansfield in 1998.
The couple then stole thousands of pounds and sold their house. Last October, they gave themselves up to police after the Department for Work and Pensions were trying to contact Mr Wycherley.
Both denied murder, but Susan Edwards admitted the manslaughter of her mother. During the trial, she claimed her mother shot her father, which provoked her to shoot her mother. They both then buried the bodies. The couple admitted obstructing the coroner in the execution of his duty, and theft of a credit balance.
The couple will be sentenced on 23rd June.
