Four men and two women have pleaded guilty to charges relating to a suspected fake wedding operation.

Mohammed Akhtar, 27, Wolverhampton, admitted to 11 counts of conspiring to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by a non-EU person. Leon Horvat, 20, Wolverhampton also admitted to 1 count of the same charge, 1 count of participating in a sham marriage, and 1 count of conspiring to arrange a sham marriage.

Ishwarjot Singh, 25, Smethwick, pleaded guilty to conspiring to facilitate a sham marriage.

Sandeep Bhullar, 27, Corley, and Marcin Cislak, 32, Wolverhampton, admitted conspiring to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by a non-EU person.  Ingrid Monova, 35, Wolverhampton, also admitted a similar charge.

Akhtar, Horvat, Singh and Bhullar were remanded in custody and will appear in court at a later date.

Cislak and Monova were granted bail and cases adjourned.

A further five defendants have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to facilitate the commission of a breach of UK immigration law by a non-EU person. Veronika Mihalova, 21, Dunstall Road; Lucie Ondicova, 25, Springfield Road; Veronika Ondicova, 22, Gatis Street; Vera Horvatova, 53, Dunstall Road, and Petra Michalkova, 33, Carter Road will go on trial on 6th May.
