Paul Hancock-French, 39, a former Coventry policeman has pleaded guilty to four counts of making and distributing indecent images of children after being arrested in July last year.
He was immediately suspended by the police force, and dismissed in September.
A Judge at Coventry Crown court told Hancock-French “you mustn’t see the granting of bail as an indication of sentence. All options are open to sentence you.”
Hancock-French was ordered to sign the sex offenders register.
Michelle Heeley, defending, asked for the case to be adjourned so a pre-sentence report and a psychological report can be prepared.
