Ian Bridge instructed by Shakespeares defended a major supplier of sand and aggregates based in the South East.

The company faced an allegation contrary to section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 after an accident in which an employee of an independent contractor was seriously injured whilst replacing a conveyor belt at one of their sites. The company was acquitted after trial. In the course of a detailed judgement the Judge exonerated the company of any blame for the injuries. The company had an exemplary health and safety record and took all reasonably practicable steps to ensure the safety of employees and other persons.

Ian Bridge specialises in Health and Safety law. He has prosecuted and defended in numerous cases following fatal and serious injury accidents across a wide range of industry and the service sector (especially health care).
