Ian Forman, 42, Birkenhead, is charged with engaging in the conduct in the preparation of terrorist acts on or before 6 June.
He is accused of possessing potassium nitrate, sulphur and charcoal, and making and testing improvised explosive devices. He is also accused of creating documents that detailed prices and stockists of the chemicals, and saving photographs of mosques and Islamic centers as “targets”.
Forman has denied making improvised explosives and plotting to blow up mosques and Islamic centers, after being arrested on 5 September by the North West Counter Terrorism Unit following concerns about chemicals and explosive substances at an address in Wirral.
