No5 Members Hugh Richards and James Corbet Burcher will be speaking at the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects Applications Master Class 2014.
 
The first projects have now been successfully made through the Planning Act 2008 and granted consent. This practical master class will bring together planning experts to provide guidance to help you take your NSIP application from start to finish. 
The 1 ½ day event will be held on 4th and 5th February at Pinsent Masons, London. 
 
Attendees will be able to
  • Hear from the Planning Inspectorate on the latest updates from this year
  • Receive an update on the addition of ‘business and commercial project applications’, from the DCLG
  • Learn from those who have submitted successful applications, with case studies from RES and RWE Npower
  • Hear about the practicalities of approaching the examination stage – get the promoter’s, Local Authority’s and land owner’s perspective
 
Hugh Richards and James Corbet Burcher will be speaking on day one of the event. Their talk, titled ‘Avoiding potential legal pitfalls in your application’, will discuss judicial reviews and legal challenges following the decision.
