An inquest has been opened at Bradford Coroner’s Court into the death of Louisa Denby, 84, Bradford, who died from stab wounds to the chest and neck.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Wallen told the court that her body was found at her home in Windhill on Monday 1st July, and her grandson, Nathaniel Flynn, 26, had been arrested on suspicion of murder hours later.

Assistant deputy Coroner Caroline Sumeray adjourned the hearing pending the completion of criminal proceedings. Flynn has been charged with the murder of Louisa Denby and the attempted murder of a nine-year-old boy. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court in October.
